Our Background
Active Solutions Therapy Services was established in 2001 by Valerie Gove in Edgewood, New Mexico. Ms. Gove received her degree in physical therapy in 1994. In 2002 she became a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Although Active Solutions Therapy Services has steadily grown from a 500 square-foot facility to our current locations in Edgewood and Cedar Crest. With 3800 square feet, our team continues to offer individualized, evidenced based, one-on-one care to each patient.
Who We Are
Active Solutions Therapy Services, Inc. is an out-patient therapy clinic providing physical, occupational, and speech therapy to patients that have orthopedic (muscle and bone) and neurological injuries such as a stroke. We also offer massage (myofascial) therapy ranging from deep tissue and trigger point release to craniosacral therapy. We emphasize specific exercise programs tailored for each individual patient and manual therapy which consists of soft tissue (muscle and connective tissue) and joint mobilization. Also, we offer manipulation of the spine and other joints which may be beneficial for improving range of motion and relief of pain. We treat any area of the body from TMJ conditions to urinary incontinence.

Rachel Harrison, PT, DPT, CSCS earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of New Mexico. She has an extensive background in exercise science as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS), Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM-CES), and is a certified Kinesio Tape practitioner.
